JKK believes that every girl has value as a creation of God. Residents will receive therapeutic care designed for her individualized needs. We are not a cookie cutter program.
JKK is providing the foundation and building blocks to transform destructive emotions and thoughts to life changing healthy beliefs. The damage from the curse of sexual exploitation can be broken. We are here, with God’s provision and authority to bring liberty, healing, and restoration to the wounded. Our girls will develop goals, face challenges, and overcome obstacles. We are here to cheer them on, support them, and explore the roads less traveled. Through Godly discipling our girls will grow deep strong roots and spread their wings to fly.
Upon arrival, our girls will receive support to build a safe plan to return to the community. When our girls graduate it will be with the necessary tools, skills, and confidence to continue their walk of healing and victory.
For girls who are safe in their homes JKK offers therapy in the community. Our goal is to offer a safe space for girls to grow strong, confident, skilled, and fully aware of their God given value. Community care is offered through individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, support groups, and life skills development.
A student friendly curriculum addressing sexual exploitation and human trafficking has been developed. Students are informed about the dangers of certain apps, dating sites, and social media platforms. Students will receive information regarding the strategies used by traffickers. Students are given the opportunity to voice questions and concerns. Staff is prepared to refer students to counselors or therapists if needed.
Community based seminars are held to educate the general public regarding trafficking. Staff will discuss myths and truths about trafficking. Parents are encouraged to attend and learn about the tactics used by traffickers, what to watch for in their children’s behavior, and what to do if they suspect their child is being courted for exploitation.
Professional seminars and workshops are held to assist law enforcement, medical, social services, education, and religious entities. Professionals will learn what trafficking looks like in their discipline. Attendees are invited to share their experiences and how the situation was handled. These events will be held in civic halls and hosted by JKK Inheritance Haven.
